MasterClass: Coaching for Meaning and Purpose

One of the human capacities not shared by other living beings is our desire to seek and our ability to discover or construct a sense of meaning and purpose from the smallest of moments to our lifetime legacies. Coaches help clients find meaning and purpose in their experiences to improve motivation, resilience, performance, and health. While the study of meaning and purpose as a means of improving well-being and performance is nascent, some breakthrough studies and intellectual formulations are upon us which we can`t wait to share.

In this MasterClass we highlight three major theories and their corresponding thought leaders as well as their orientation toward meaning and purpose:

  1. Existential (Frankl)
  2. Constructionism (Kegan)
  3. Positivity (Seligman)
