Dr David Drake is partnering with the Institute on a year-long project to help us move beyond competency models in coaching. This discussion group is your opportunity to explore his work on The Five Maturities as a new paradigm for coach development. Sessions will focus on topics such as (1) why we need to align how we assess and develop coaches with what the research concludes make the most difference; (2) why maturity is often more important that mastery when it comes to client outcomes; (3) why we need to define ‘coach’ and ‘coaching’ in new ways now; and (4) why the five maturities and five masteries are key to advancing your craft and practice.

The conference will be in-person at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel on May 3-4, 2024, our first time in 5 years!

Every other Monday the group will provide the opportunity for a fellow member to present. This could include presenting a topic, coaching model, professional work, client case, or asking the group a question for discussion etc. On the other weeks, the zoom session will be open for members to have an open conversation.
