Team Coaching - the competitive edge in Organization Development
Teamwork is a big part of work today, the time spent by in collaborative activities at work has jumped by at least 50% over the last two decades (HBR). Effective teamwork has never been easy and it has become an even bigger challenge in today’s globally connected, geographically dispersed work environment. To thrive in the VUCA environment, organizations have to focus on building an environment and culture that can effectively manage team productivity, complex human interactions, and collective leadership.
Among the many team development modalities; team coaching stands out in making real-time interventions, enabling in-the-moment awareness, immediate shifts in behaviour, and sustainable improvements in effectiveness and results.
This is a big opportunity for coaches, however simply transferring one-on-one coaching techniques into a team setting will not be adequate. There are currently several approaches and some confusion about what team coaching is, how it works and its effectiveness in organization and leadership development.
