Why Coaching Leaders Through Defining Moments and Transitions, Matters

Please join: Eileen Coskey Fracchia, IOC Founding Fellow and West Coast Roundtable leader; and our Roundtable #14 host committee IOC Members: Leslie Goldenberg, Dana Crawford, Pam Marcheski and Dave Shaw for our 14th West Coast Roundtable.

Previously scheduled for June 4, 2020 and postponed in support of Black Lives Matter and the George Floyd memorial service, which was being streamed at the same time, we are happy to confirm Roundtable #14 will take place online, via Zoom, on August 13, 2020 at 8:00am PST – 10:00am PST.

Our topic will remain: ‘Why Coaching Leaders During Defining Moments and Transitions, Matters.’ Transitions are often a time when people are seeking clarity and growth, and coaching is a welcome element of the learning process that accompanies most transitions. We will have the opportunity, as a community to connect around current events –some defining moments of our own during this time, and how we may or may not be transitioning our approach to coaching leaders. In a conversational interview with Eileen, Leslie Goldenberg will share her experience within EY’s global coaching practice and how they are continuing to support organizational and leader transition.

There will be an opportunity to break into smaller groups, to share approaches/frameworks colleagues are now using - when Coaching Leaders during Defining Moments and Transitions. At the conclusion of those groups, we will come back together to share the best practices output and wrap up.

Eileen and the host committee are committed to the IOC mission - to disseminate the best coaching science and empower you to catalyze positive change in yourself, your community, and the world around you.

We look forward to connecting with our Roundtable alumni and excitedly welcome new members, to this IOC Member only Roundtable event. We encourage you to register early as this is a special – no charge event, and it is limited. Once you register, we will send you pre-event materials to review and a few prompts upon which to reflect prior to our session.

If you have questions or need additional information, please email Eileen Fracchia or Tiffany Dally.

Roundtable meetings promise:

  • A marketing-free, inclusive, and peer-based learning space for coaches to learn about and share new coaching concepts and research.
  • A community of coaching professionals to provide peer coaching and support for developing the “growing edge” of our respective capabilities.
  • Ways to apply the resources available through the IOC to real coaching situations through case consultation and group seminars.
  • The format is a series of three to four 2.5-hour events over the course of the year. Each session includes a topic facilitated by an IOC member, discussion of the practice and application with that topic, along with case consultation and peer coaching depending on the topic and needs of the group.
