Everyone has stress on their brains (and bodies) these days, and as a coach it’s critical that you understand how to facilitate the use of stress in ways that are helpful instead of harmful. Neuroscience research demonstrates that our brain and nervous system can adapt in both positive and negative ways to stress. It’s not the stress itself that causes the problem but our response that impacts our lives.

In this session, Heidi will guide participants through a process that trains coaches to have a challenge versus threat mindset, transforming stress into a positive catalyst for growth and performance. In this interactive and experiential discussion, we will discuss a new framework for understanding and assessing "performance adaptability" and explore tools and techniques to increase energy management, resilience, and brain fitness.

Attendees will learn:

  • How stress impacts the mind and body, for better or worse
  • Why resilience strategies may be getting in the way of client success
  • The difference between stressed and stressed out
  • How to shift from reacting to responding
  • The impact of various stress mindsets, and how they impact health and performance
  • How to create an individual and team action plan to navigate stress more effectively
