May and June Featured Book: Positive Provocation: 25 Questions to Elevate Your Coaching Practice by Robert Biswas-Diener

The IOC Invites you to join our Book Club, which will meet once a month on the first Thursday of every month. We will spend two meetings per book, one for a review of the major themes and the other for specialized topic dives related to your coaching practice.

Each Friday, members of our Fellow community meet to collaborate and discuss various coaching topics and resources. Our weekly group connects coaches from across the globe and meets at 7:30am EST. Every other Friday the group will provide the opportunity for a fellow member to present. This could include presenting a topic, coaching model, professional work, client case, or asking the group a question for discussion etc. On the other weeks, the zoom session will be open for members to have an open conversation. This is particularly true in healthcare where many professionals experience burnout seemingly due to excessive demands, moral distress, and loss of autonomy over their work conditions. While a great deal of research documents this, there is much less data available on how to manage it.

Topic: Ethics or Inappropriate: is there a difference?

These bi-monthly groups will be interactive, allowing a vibrant discussion with peers on a predetermined ethical theme. Wendy-Ann will speak to the theme, then encouraging discussion of how the theme has been visible or experienced in your coaching practice. Group discussions will be respectful and held in the safe space of reflection, sharing and discovery of new potentials.
