While research on SDT applications in health, well-being, physical activity, emotions, mental health, and work is established, SDT has now come alive in leadership coaching. Authors Scott Taylor, Angela Passarelli (the new IOC Director, Research), and Ellen Van Oosten, published a December 2019 article in Leadership Quarterly (IOC members have access to this journal) entitled Leadership Coach Effectiveness as Fostering Self-Determined, Sustained Change.
