The purpose of this series is to bring to professional coaches around the world a unified framework of competencies that ties together the science of leadership, well-being, and coaching. This series is a roadmap to science-based coaching across all coaching domains - leadership, life, health, and well-being.

The series structure of ten modules synthesizes the vast scientific literature, mainly on leadership and well-being along with coaching, into nine coaching constructs or capacities (collections of competencies).

Each module includes a tutorial, examples, discussion, coaching inquiry (coaching questions) and coaching practice to bring the module to life.

Module Components

  1. Define construct from coach and client perspective
  2. Define coaching competencies
  3. Explore synergy of coaching, well-being, and leadership of coach and client
  4. Identify best scientific papers
  5. Identify resources - video, thought leader interviews, reading, quizzes, coaching exercises
  6. Other IOC resources (research doses, webinars, conference videos)
