Angelo is a leadership coach, management consultant, and adjunct professor

A Georgetown-trained leadership coach, Angelo has more than 25 years of experience helping leaders and organizations more effectively lead, manage, and navigate change, and engage employees. Angelo has held leadership roles with NII Holdings, Inc.; IFC, the private sector arm of The World Bank Group; Sodexo; AOL & AOL Time Warner; RLM Strategic Communications; and the U.S. Department of State. 

Angelo’s areas of expertise include strategy development, strategic and leadership communications, global and cross-cultural communications, change leadership and transformation, employee and brand engagement, developing high-performing teams, facilitation, visual communication, storytelling, collaboration, and digital media. He also has extensive experience with metrics, measurement, and surveys. Angelo is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI), The Leadership Circle Profile 360, FIRO-B, and is DISC qualified. He is a fluent Spanish speaker.

As a coach, he takes a holistic approach in helping clients identify their priorities and make the changes that build their leadership capability. He believes that small changes can produce big results over time in personal satisfaction, leadership, and business performance. Angelo has coached leaders across sectors and industries, covering topics such as leadership, developing, communicating and implementing a vision, strategy, or change initiative, leadership transitions, preparing for a more senior role, managing up, leading a team, managing across the generations, time management, delegation, prioritization, work-life balance, networking, cultivating political savvy, creating trust, working cross-culturally, cross-departmental cooperation, managing stress, career development, and succession planning, among others. 

Angelo is faculty in American University’s Key Executive Leadership program for senior government executives where he teaches leadership through strategic communication and change management. He was previously an adjunct professor in George Washington University’s leading Master’s of Strategic Public Relations program and in American’s Key M.P.A. program. Angelo is also a member of the board of EcoAction Arlington, a local grassroots environmental organization.

Angelo has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, an M.A. in International Affairs from the University of Chicago, and certificates in both Leadership Coaching and Change Leadership and Organizational Consulting from Georgetown University. Angelo was both a Presidential Management Fellow and a Thomas J. Watson Fellow.
