CHRIS MAXWELL, PhD, BCC, is a Senior Fellow of the Center for Leadership and Change Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and serves as an instructor and coach for Wharton's Aresty Institute of Executive Education.
Chris holds graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (Master of Governmental Administration and Master of Applied Positive Psychology) and earned a PhD in Public Administration from Penn State University, focusing on leadership, organization theory, and health policy. He earned executive coaching certificates from Northwestern University (Executive Learning and Organization Change) and Case Western Reserve University (Weatherhead Coaching Program) and holds the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential. He is Hogan Assessments certified. Chris is the author of Lead Like a Guide: How World-Class Mountain Guides Inspire Us to Be Better Leaders (Praeger, 2016). His work has been published in the Wharton Leadership Digest, Organization Management Journal, Journal of Management Education, The European Business Review, Journal of Surgical Education, and the American Journal of Public Health.
