Doctor Burleson is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry. He holds additional teaching affiliations with The Children’s Mercy Hospital and Saint Luke’s Hospital Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Teams. He maintains a private practice in Kansas City, Missouri and is the director of the Leo H. Rheam Foundation for Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodontics.

Dr. Burleson worked in the marketing field during his college years and brings over 15 years of experience in dental practice management in a family with more dentists than non-dentists.  He oversees 35 staff members, four practice locations, exhaustive marketing plans and is the author of several books.  In his free time, Dr. Burleson enjoys sailing, reading and writing; consistently reading 50 or more books per year and publishing three monthly newsletters.  He is the father of three children and resides in Kansas City, Missouri.
