Ken Deemer has partnered with leaders to build high impact organizations for more than 30 years – as a venture capitalist, board member, advisor and leadership coach. As a venture capitalist, he has more than 25 years of experience investing in and serving on the boards of several dozen companies. Ken served as General Partner of Interven Partners and was Co-Founder, Chairman, and President of the Tech Coast Angels, (www.techcoastangels.com), one of the largest and most active angel investor groups in the country.

As a coach, Ken works with entrepreneurs as they grow from a subject expert, to managing a team, to leading a rapidly growing organization. He helps them to identify blind spots and to anticipate critical issues. And he helps them to effectively manage upward to their board and investors. Using the Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching method and the Rocket Model of Team Effectiveness™, he can measure the effectiveness of a leader or team and pinpoint the steps needed to improve it.

Ken partners with leaders to clarify their vision and the challenges preventing them from achieving it. Together, they develop coaching goals and then work on the mindsets, strategies, and practices to help them achieve and sustain them.

Ken holds BS degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA, with distinction, from Carnegie-Mellon University. He holds coaching certifications (PCC) from the Coaches Training Institute and Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching among others. His wife, Candy, is an author and executive coach. They have three sons.
