Rick is an experienced coaching and consulting professional with more than a decade spent collaborating with leaders at the highest levels of organizations to optimize both their businesses and their lives. Currently he serves as chief executive officer of the telos institute, a leading global organizational consulting firm he co-founded, that offers expertise in the areas of leadership, strategy, and change. In this role, Rick is largely responsible for shaping the vision and guiding the strategic direction of the firm. Tactically, he oversees the firm’s business development & client engagement functions, while also holding responsibility for the ongoing development of the firm’s affiliated consulting network. This growing network of certified consultants supports ongoing telos engagements around the world. Additionally, Rick is actively involved in supporting the creation & delivery of telos leadership ventures, unique personal and professional development journeys that guide participants through ambitious physical adventures in awe-inspiring destinations around the world. These transformative experiences spark innovative thinking and create sustainable breakthroughs in the areas of leadership strategy and change.

Prior to founding telos, Rick spent ten years in various senior sales leadership positions within the financial services industry. Most notably, he led several organizations through periods of transition which afforded him the opportunity to share his experience and insight in the best practices of managing personal and organizational change.

Rick earned his Master of Science in Organizational Behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. For more than a decade, the Organizational Behavior program at the Weatherhead School of Management has been consistently ranked as one of the top three programs globally. While at Weatherhead, Rick focused his research efforts on quantifying the value of coaching to individuals and organizations. The insights gleaned from this research uniquely enable Rick to achieve a balance in delivering both the quantitative and qualitative benefits of a successful coaching or consulting engagement.

Before receiving his Master`s at CWRU, Rick earned a B. A. in Economics and Finance from Baldwin Wallace College. In addition, he is certified by The Hay Group to administer and interpret the Emotional and Social Competence Inventory (ESCI).

Personally, Rick tests his beliefs around accomplishment by running ultra marathons. His recent tests include the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015 US Track and Field 24 Hour Run National Championships. He lives in Cleveland, OH with his wife Amy and their four children.
