Teresa has a degree in theoretical physics (University of Salamanca, Spain), a degree in music (Conservatory of Salamanca, Spain), a master's degree in telecommunications engineering (Kings College, London, UK) and an executive MBA (Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain). She is also a member of IoC (Institute of Coaching ) from Harvard Medical School of Harvard University. Her extensive business experience encompasses commercial experience in big multinationals and start-ups, in some of the best academic institutions in the world as well as international organizations. She has worked as a senior executive leading global teams in top tech companies worldwide such as British Telecom, O2, Vodafone, Telefónica and Siemens. Teresa played a key role in the Digital Transformation of companies like BT Europe, where she coordinated the IT departments of all the European Joint Ventures and Infineon, part of the Siemens group, where she was responsible for Innovation. She was a vital contributor to the Agile transformation of O2 Germany, a Telefónica company. Teresa was trained by Jeff Sutherland, one of the creators of Agile Methodologies and of Scrum. This was one of the very early Agile transformations in business and it has been captured in various case studies. She was responsible world-wide for the deployment of Big Data services and solutions in Telefonica Digital. Her work in academia focuses on the intersection between tech, innovation, and leadership, lecturing on Digital Transformation, Digital Leadership, Agile methodologies (including, Agile, leadership, High performance teams, Scrum). She has collaborated with academic institutions like Said Business School of Oxford University, Judge Business School of Cambridge University, Instituto de Empresa where she was director of the Technology and Innovation Program Management, Headspring (a Financial Times joint venture) where she mentored teams working on agile methodologies, d.school of Stanford University where she is a University Innovation Champion. She also works with organizations such as the United Nations, NHS (National Health Service, UK), CR-UK (Cancer Research, UK). Having lived and worked for many years in Germany and the UK, she is trilingual in Spanish, English and German and a true citizen of the world.
