I practice in various roles as a community psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital. I have been leading the Urgent Care/Rapid Access Psychiatry Clinic as an Assistant Director while also allocating part of my clinical time there in addition to general outpatient psychiatry clinic at the main campus and MGH-Chelsea. I also work as a per-diem clinical affiliate at North Shore Medical Center, BIDMC-Boston and BIDMC-Plymouth providing inpatient consultation services, and covering the emergency departments and inpatient psychiatric units.
Education: BA in Integrative Biology from University of California, Berkeley; MD from The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont. I have trained in public/community sector psychiatry in Boston at a safety net hospital, various VA and the MA Department of Mental Health facilities.
Guiding principles: Providing competent and ethical care while optimizing operational workflows to ensure patient safety and provider satisfaction in the broader framework of social justice; utilizing the concepts of positive psychology to create and nurture a safe space for innovation and growth.
