Krishna is an executive coach and a behavioural risk consultant. Born in Mauritius, he brings 3 decades of global banking experience, as well as a deep understanding of business, people and risk. He holds an Executive Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD (Distinction).

His 30 years career with BNP Paribas Group provided him exposure to diverse businesses and geographies: after 7 years in Mauritius establishing and overseeing the risk division, he joined the highly regarded “Inspection Generale” in Paris where he became a Head Inspector. Shortly after, he moved to Malaysia as Country Head where he successfully grew the footprint, by setting up a full-fledged bank and leading it as its founding CEO for 4 years. He then moved on to regional roles within Wealth Management based in Hong Kong where he instituted and led first its Business Risk Management Unit, then its Business & People Development and later its Strategy, Marketing & Sales for the last 8 years.

In addition to this prism of cultural, geographical and business exposure, his journey has equipped him with solid expertise and experience in 3 key domains:

  • Business growth: he initiated and led growth initiatives to expand the bank’s footprint in Malaysia and in Thailand;
  • People development: he has dealt with its multiple dimensions: attract, integrate and retain talent in Malaysia; catalysing lasting behavioural changes in Hong Kong; he also set up a lean but impactful team, rolling out tailor-made leadership programs with coaching and building an organic talent pool to reduce over-reliance on costly hiring;
  • Risk management: he set up risk divisions in Mauritius / Asia and inaugurated conduct & ethics programs which produced large-scale behavioural changes, a significant improvement on traditional controls and sanctions.

He strongly believes that sustainable change happens when one earnestly addresses root causes, instead of merely getting at symptoms. This belief brought him to undertake on a personal level an Executive Masters in Consulting and Coaching for Change (focusing on psychodynamics) at INSEAD in 2017, culminating in his research honors thesis on misconduct in private banking, which he has since integrated in the way he designed change initiatives.

Krishna has deepened his coaching practice over the last 5 years, with volunteer coaching during his ACSTH in 2017, practiced team psychodynamic coaching with INSEAD (2017-19), he now has 500+ hours coaching global executives with a focus on business, organisation and career transition after his Level 2 certification in 2023, and managerial coaching approach within a business setting (2017-2022). He has also led initiatives to bring leadership development programs in his organisation where he was a decision maker on the hiring of coaches and defining the expected outcomes from a business perspective. He integrates both the psychodynamic approach and a strong business perspective to coaching.

After 30 years of global & diversified experience, he is thrilled to use his expertise, experience and passion for business, people and risk to work as an Executive Coach & a Behavioural Risk Consultant in the US, continuing to help people and organizations grow.
