Bill Auxier, Ph.D. specializes in rural health leadership development through consulting, coaching, training and research.  He is experienced working with rural health leaders across the country through his company, Auxier Group, to improve their organizations through more effective leadership, cultural transformation and strategic plan development.

Bill is also Program Director of National Rural Health Association’s Rural Hospital Certification Programs for CEOs, CNOs and CFOs, CMOs, HR Executives, Board Members and Rural Health Nurses, creator and co-host of the Rural Health Leadership Radio podcast, and author of numerous books and articles.

Bill started his career in healthcare as a nurse’s aide at a rural hospital.  From there, he worked his way up to become the CEO of a surgical device manufacturer with global distribution. 

Bill and his wife Elise have been married 39 years, have 2 adult children who are married with children of their own, providing the joy of 5 grandchildren.
