Cate has over 25 years of experience as a leadership coach across a range of sectors, including health care, nonprofit, higher education, and corporate. For professional associations, she focuses on offering support, inquiry, and constructive feedback for professionals at all levels. Clients have included K-12 school superintendents looking to develop capacity and build resilience and a national institute focused on helping physicians lead the transformation of women’s healthcare in the 21st century. As an associate with the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina, Cate coaches in CCL's Leadership Development Program and facilitates Benchmarks, Firo-B, Myers Briggs, and various other personality assessments.

Cate believes the challenge of coaching is to help a client move beyond existing habits that no longer serve the individual. Her goal is to create lasting, sustainable change that enables her clients to be more resourceful, build their awareness, and ultimately to become more effective.
